How do I find my Release Version?

Compatible with VW vehicles manufactured 2020-2025 with MIB3 headunits.

Check your headunit release version:

Hold the MENU button for 3 seconds.
Select Software update/versions.
Click Start update.
Once in Engineering menu, select Version Information.
Your Release Version is displayed.

How do I find out my VCRN?

For VW Group vehicles with MIB3 / MOI3 infotainment, the VCRN is usually read from the 5F – Information Electronics module.

Using the infotainment system:

Hold the MENU button for 3 seconds
Select Function enabling codes
Choose Installed codes
Select any valid code
Note the VCRN

Using ODIS:

Open 5F – Information Electronics
Check Measured values / Live data
Locate Individualization characteristic

Using OBDeleven:

Open Control Units
Select 5F – Information Electronics
Go to Live Data
Locate Individualization characteristic

Using VCDS:

Connect to the vehicle and open 5F – Information Electronics
Go to Advanced Measuring Values / Measuring Values
Search for Individualization characteristic
The value shown here is the one commonly used as the VCRN

What do I need for activation?

For us to carry out the remote activation session, you will need the following:

A USB-C drive with at least 32GB of storage.
A Windows or Mac computer.
Up to 90 minutes of your time.

Delivery and refunds

It is a one-time lifetime activation on your head unit, so it cannot be undone, reused or transferred once performed.
